INQ Chat 3 Mobile Experience
Over a month ago, I bought the INQ Chat mobile on the the 3 network. The phone worked perfectly for about two or three days and then it starts shutting down by itself and rebooting. However, this wont be a problem if your phones sim lock is off. If its on, then you need to enter your pin to get it up and running again. However, It may turn off again after five or ten minutes.... It's by far the worst phone I ever bought! For one, its a complete memory hog, and occasionally freezes and continually glitches until rebooted. (Rebooted) - this is a phone, not an Operating System. The phone was not BETA tested, and if it was, it wasn't done by professional minded beings!
The application for Facebook is a bonus in fairness, and when using the built in camera, you can automatically upload pictures to Facebook using this application. Skype, MSN and the maps application work very well, except; the phone continuously lags while they're running. As I said, this phone is a memory hog.
It also has a built in E-Mail client which is very good except its actually the cause for the phone rebooting by itself. GetSatisfaction.Com have said that they are aware of the rebooting problem and they've put it down to the e-mail client being an unstable module. (Then at-least give me the option to un-install it)!?!
I later brought the phone back to the 3 store and they told me they'd not refund my money as it is past the 14 day refund store policy. Which is complete bullsh*t. They offered a replace or repair... what good is a repair for a product which the creators cant even fix. Secondly, a replacement phone wouldn't be much use since this is a global problem will all of the INQ Chat distributions. No! 3 wouldn't admit they were aware this phone was defective and therefore wouldn't offer a refund! My personal recommendation is to avoid both the INQ Chat phone and the 3 Network provider, as I've found them very uncooperative.
